So today was the final day to prepare for tomorrows presentation....
9am and things are off to a great start, the ideas are flowing an the concept is starting to come together nicely. "I think we should run this past the guys from Kin" famous last words.....
I think as a group we all came away from the meeting feeling a little deflated, not least because I don't think we got our idea across clearly enough. But bein whom we are we picked ourselves up and applied what we learnt to simplify and distill our concept.
I have to say though that talking with John, was just freaking AMAZING, what a guy. So much experience, so well put across. He really did give the project a new lease of life.
So many, many (many) hours later we had it, a final presentation to be proud of. And what a journey we've been on to get there.
I think if there is one thing to take away from today it is this: John, if you are looking for a son, you can adopt me.... I could literally listen to you all day!!
Cheers and good night
Creativity, inspiration and a shit load of laughs

De Bono vs MC Escher
Final thought of the day, Edward de Bono and his lateral thinking hasn't got shiz on the group today, we where going all M C Escher on that shit....
8 team members, 2 days and 1 inspiring (ball ache) of a brief....
CASCADE_brief: As a group you are unique, made up from various backgrounds and disciplines. This is what we want you to investigate and celebrate. Create an identity for your group, who you are, what makes you different, what you can offer and most importantly as a group what do you want to do?
9.00am and job one for the day, begin to the establish the group identity, and obviously being "creatives" there was really only ever going to be one medium of choice, time to queue post it notes and get cracking......
What is it that unites us, and what is it that makes us unique as a group? Having explored all the usual dull and some what trivial options e.g. I like food and money.... We soon realised it wasn't the physical or material things which we consumed in day to day life which made us unique, or even the beliefs we as a group held, but rather the humour with which we all seemed to be approaching the situation we found ourselves in. A combination of infectious laughter and lad-ish banter amongst ourselves created a new energy in the group and produced some pretty bad ass ideas (hope the industry are ready for these bad boys come Friday)
So now having confirmed this quite frankly brilliant "identity" (no men feat) All that was left to do was determine the values, strategy and outcomes we wanted. Time to hit the music (and the beer)and prepare for the mind fuck that unfolded.
Time to sleep on it I think.
P.S. What really constitutes an identity? and what is unique? A question for another day....
